Kids & Teens Yoga                                             

        6 Week Rhythmic Flow Yoga sessions for Kids & Teens

 

 
Classes Run as follows:
Kids                     Thursdays   4:30pm - 5:30pm
(60 minute class)
Teens               Thursdays   5:45pm - 6:45pm
Grades 6 & up
(1 hour class)
Cost: For all ages $90.00 for 6 weeks.
Pre-registration is required.

 

Yoga for Children: Children's yoga classes are fun, vibrant and fast-paced.  Children naturally respond to this noncompetitive form of exercise.  Yoga works on the entire body and is suitable for children of all ages and physical abilities.  Yoga compliments any sport or activity that your child is currently involved in. 

Rhythmic Flow Yoga, a component of the Children's (and Teens) yoga class is the pairing of yoga movement and flow (vinyasa) yoga to music.  This process has been developed by Co-Director of Breathe Yoga, Catherine Riedel.  Because of the creative flow that results when the postures (asanas) are paired with music, students express and develop their creativity.  Classes culminate in an informal presentation of the Rhythmic Flow Yoga to small groups of people, thereby building confidence and self-esteem as well as the physical strength, relaxation and focus.   This is a result of yoga practice.

              Children's Yoga helps:

Yoga for Teens: Teenagers lives are  fast paced and very scheduled.  Responsibilities and time commitments result in the same pressure and stress that adults experience.  This takes a toll on the body and the mind, which is detrimental to the growing child.  Yoga is the perfect solution and it is a the natural solution to stress relief.  The class focuses on stretching and strengthening the body while centering the mind.  Teens report that they leave the class with a greater feeling of well-being.  Yoga compliments any sport or activity that your teen is currently involved in.
